How to join the dance IN-PERSON (to join ONLINE, click HERE)
Arrival time
Doors open at 11:15 am, and close at 11:45 am at Ashkenaz. NOTE: no in-person arrivals after 11:45.
Our aims and approach
The organizers are guided by the mission of Soul Sanctuary Dance-- to support "free expression, community, physical and emotional health, and a spirit of generosity." When the COVID-19 pandemic caused our in-person dance to close, we danced online only. As the facts of the pandemic changed, we returned to online and in-person dancing, recognizing that we can't meet the needs and desires of everyone, but aiming to do our best. We acknowledge that the pandemic is still ongoing, and as the facts of the pandemic change, our approach will change also. We recognize that children under 12 cannot be vaccinated at this time, and that some other people cannot be safely or effectively vaccinated, or choose not to be vaccinated. We also recognize that our online component is not accessible to everyone. We invite and value input from our community.
Vaccination required; pre-registration required; limited number of dancers
Proof of vaccination
To attend, proof of full vaccination is required (2 weeks after the both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccine).
Options:
Distancing and masking
There are no distancing or masking requirements inside the venue. Please respect the choices of others with respect to distance they wish to keep, and mask wearing. Note that City of Berkeley indoor masking recommendations don't apply to our fully-vaccinated group.
